Sardar Abdul Rahim, Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League Functional Sindh and Secretary Information of GDA, has appealed to the people of Sindh to actively participate in the protest against the proposed construction of six new canals on the Indus River.
In a statement issued here today, Sardar Abdul Rahim announced that on April 19, Saturday, a protest rally will be organized in Hyderabad by the Save Indus River Consultative Council. The purpose of this rally is to raise a voice against the illegal allotment of lands along the Indus River.
He stated that the rally will start from Poonam Pump and conclude at Highway Gate with a gathering where central leaders will address the participants.
Sardar Abdul Rahim mentioned that through this protest, people worldwide and the Pakistani public will be able to distinguish between the friends and foes of Sindh.
Criticizing the Zardari League, he said that the public is only asking why the President approved the anti-Sindh project in the Presidential Palace on July 8. Furthermore, Sardar Abdul Rahim added that the people of Umerkot have rejected the Zardari League by participating in large numbers at Lalchand Malhi’s gathering.
