Pakistan and UAE Forge Agricultural Partnership with MoU for Date Palm Festival

In a significant move to enhance agricultural collaboration, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have inked a Memorandum of Understanding for the Second Pakistan International Date Palm Festival 2025, scheduled to take place later this year in Pakistan.

The MoU was formalized by Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain and Professor Dr. Abdelouahhab Zaid, General Secretary of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation. This occurred during the Grand Ceremony of the 17th Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation at the Emirates Palace.

Rana Tanveer Hussain expressed appreciation for the UAE’s leadership in promoting sustainable agriculture and fostering global partnerships. He underscored the robust bilateral relationship between Pakistan and the UAE, particularly emphasizing collaboration in agricultural research and innovation.
