KCCI and PBC Dubai Forge Path for Enhanced Trade Ties

Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) Dubai inked a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday, aiming to enhance bilateral trade, investment, and economic collaboration between Karachi and Dubai.

The MoU was officially signed by KCCI President Muhammad Jawed Bilwani and PBC Dubai Chairman Shabbir Merchant at a high-level meeting in Karachi. Key figures such as KCCI’s Senior Vice President Zia ul Arfeen and Executive Advisor PBC Dubai Mustafa Hemani were present to witness the event.

Jawed Bilwani highlighted the MoU as a strategic initiative to deepen trade ties through exchanges and joint international participation. He emphasized the role of digital platforms in promoting B2B interactions and the significance of the newly launched website and app for business matchmaking.

Shabbir Merchant underscored the MoU’s potential to bridge economic communities and facilitate ease of business, expressing confidence in increased access to the UAE market for Pakistani enterprises.

Junaid Esmail Makda detailed the MoU’s conflict resolution framework, stressing its importance for business confidence, while Mustafa Hemani lauded the collaborative spirit behind this milestone.
