The South Zone Motorway Police successfully recovered 30 bags of banned betel nuts during an operation in Sector III Jamshoro. This operation took place at 2:15 AM during a routine patrol when Sub-Inspector Khalil Ahmed and Sub-Inspector Tariq Masood received information from a passenger that a vehicle had collided with their vehicle and a safety barrier and fled the scene.
Upon receiving the information, both officers immediately proceeded to the scene. Approximately two kilometers away, the suspicious vehicle was spotted, and upon seeing the police, the occupants attempted to flee, abandoning the vehicle. However, the driver managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
Upon searching the vehicle, 30 bags of banned betel nuts were recovered. An admin officer was also present at the scene and assisted in the operation. After completing the legal procedures, the recovered goods and the vehicle were handed over to the Jamshoro police station for further action.
