The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association announced on May 19, that gold prices have experienced a significant surge in both local and international markets.
The price of Tola 24kt gold has increased by Rs4,000, bringing it to Rs342,500. Similarly, the cost of 10gm 24kt gold has risen by Rs3,429, now standing at Rs293,638. Meanwhile, the international gold price per ounce has climbed by $40, reaching $3,241 per ounce.
The association revealed that these hikes align with the rally in global markets. The price for 10gm 22kt gold remains at Rs270,348, unchanged from the previous rate. Silver prices, however, have remained stable; Tola 24kt silver is priced at Rs3,410 and 10gm 24kt silver at Rs2,923, with the international rate steady at $32.52 per ounce.
