Obstructing the supply of food, medicine, and water in Gaza is a war crime: Haji Hanif Tayyab

Chairman of the Nizam-e-Mustafa Party and former Federal Minister for Petroleum, Dr. Haji Muhammad Hanif Tayyab, has strongly opposed the recent hostilities in Gaza and highlighted the severity of the situation where access to basic necessities such as food, medicine, and water is being obstructed. He termed these actions as war crimes and serious violations of human rights.

Over a hundred people have tragically lost their lives as a result of violent actions, including firing, bombing, and drone attacks, at a humanitarian aid center in Gaza. Dr. Tayyab criticized the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for failing to halt Israeli aggressions. He emphasized that despite numerous resolutions and condemnatory statements, Muslim countries have yet to take decisive action to stop the violence or provide necessary aid, which he considers extremely unsatisfactory.

Dr. Tayyab noted that the ongoing suffering in Gaza has exposed the failure of international institutions and so-called interfaith harmony organizations in addressing human rights violations. He appealed to the leaders of the Muslim world to raise their voices against the increasing poverty and hunger affecting the people of Gaza and to play an active role in ending the hostilities.
