When war comes, man should not shy away from sacrifice, Naqvi

Addressing the central Ashura Muharram gathering at Nishtar Park, Allama Syed Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi defined bravery as courageously facing hardships and dangers. Connecting the term with wars, battles, and jihad, he emphasized that standing firm against enemies is true courage. He explained that this strength of character enables a person to uphold the truth even in the face of oppressors. He further added that in the face of adversity, sacrifice and selflessness should be embraced.

Naqvi distinguished bravery from fear, highlighting the importance of steadfastness in difficult situations. He stated that all acts of valor and victories on the battlefield stem from this inner strength. According to him, this very quality has inspired individuals throughout history to rise against oppressive forces. Naqvi stated that a key aspect of bravery is fearlessness of death, a trait that kept Imam Hussain (AS) steadfast in the battle of Karbala.

Recounting Imam Hussain’s (AS) journey from Mecca to Kufa, Naqvi explained how people tried to dissuade him by describing the dangers ahead. He quoted Imam Hussain’s (AS) reply, “My status is not like those who fear death,” as proof of his unwavering bravery.
