Sindh Govt Explores Tax Breaks For Green Energy Consumers

Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah today announced potential tax exemptions for electricity consumers using up to 300 units and transitioning to solar energy.

Speaking at the National Environmental Sustainability Conference in Karachi, Minister Shah emphasized the Sindh government”s commitment to creating a sustainable Pakistan by empowering young people. He revealed ongoing dialogues with the federal administration to promote renewable energy sources. The conference, organized in partnership with the Youth Parliament, Made in Pakistan, and the Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs Department, aims to prepare the nation”s youth for a greener future.

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Abdul Aleem Lashari highlighted the importance of youth in driving environmental transformation. He explained that the provincial administration is dedicated to empowering young people through various programs and active engagement. Youth Parliament Founder and Chairman Rizwan Jaffer stated the conference intends to create a forum for youth to discuss and contribute to a sustainable tomorrow. He underscored the Youth Parliament”s ongoing focus on youth-related issues.

The event concluded with Minister Shah, Governor”s Advisor Tariq Mustafa, and Rotary International Pakistan Governor Shakeel Qaimkhani presenting awards to organizations and individuals recognized for their contributions to environmental sustainability.
