Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi is organizing events titled “Maarka-e-Haq” on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day. Vice Chancellor Professor Jahan Ara Hasan will be the chief guest at the main ceremony on August 14th.
Intra-university sports competitions were also held at the university. The inter-university quiz competition “Maarka-e-Haq Azm-e-Aali Shan” held at Dow College of Pharmacy, Ojha Campus, was a significant part of these events. Students from various universities and colleges of Karachi participated in this competition, which included questions related to academic, historical, and general knowledge.
Dow College of Pharmacy won the quiz competition, while Dow College of Biotechnology stood second and Muhammad Ali Jinnah University third. Dow College of Pharmacy’s Principal and Dean Professor Dr. Shambel Shamim presided over the ceremony and distributed the prizes. Nasir Ali and Subriya Khan served as judges.
Other events included a national songs competition, a debate on the topic of “Sarzameen-e-Bahaaduron” (Land of the Brave), a poetry recitation (Mushaira), a painting competition, and a parliamentary-style debate.
