Helicopter Crash in Gilgit-Baltistan is a Day of Mourning for the Nation: Pakistan Movement

Central Chairman of Guardians of Islam and Pakistan Movement, Sahibzada Hafiz Farhan Sohail, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic crash of a Pakistan Army MI-17 helicopter in the district of Diamer, Gilgit-Baltistan. All five soldiers aboard were martyred in the incident, marking it a day of mourning for the nation.

The soldiers who sacrificed their lives in this devastating crash included Major Atif, who was the pilot in command, Major Faisal as the pilot, Naib Subedar Maqbool serving as the flight engineer, while the crew chiefs included Havaldar Jahangir and Naik Aamir. These brave men were lauded for their great sacrifice, and the entire nation mourns their loss and stands in solidarity with their families.

Hafiz Farhan Sohail emphasized that the sacrifices of these soldiers are a glorious chapter in Pakistan’s history, ensuring the protection and security of their nation. He expressed heartfelt condolences to the grieving families, affirming that the bravery of their loved ones will always be remembered.

The chairman further noted that this incident occurred amid the nation’s struggle against severe flooding. He acknowledged the army’s crucial role in rescue operations and prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and for patience and perseverance for their families.
