A complete ban has been imposed on the use of motorcycles without number plates in the capital, and strict action has been ordered against any form of aerial firing. The meeting also stressed strongly enforcing the “anti-drug” campaign, including immediate steps to apprehend professional criminals and habitual offenders through modern technologies like the Safe City Hunch Lab and Sky Software.
A swift response to emergency calls has been prioritized, and officers have been directed to intensify night patrols and engage in community forums to address public concerns. The emphasis on community policing aims to effectively resolve complaints, while grievances will be promptly addressed through helplines such as Pukar 15 and the IG Complaint Cell 1715.
Modern software will be utilized for crime management and patrol coordination to streamline operations. Dolphin Force patrol strategies are being developed in consultation with senior officers, the performance of which will be personally monitored weekly by IG Rizvi.
Cooperation with organizers of Milad programs during Rabi-ul-Awal has been ensured to strengthen security. The internal accountability process within the police force has been expedited, with promises of commendations for exemplary performance and disciplinary actions for negligence.
Several SDPOs and SHOs were issued show-cause notices for poor performance, while those demonstrating outstanding performance in their duties were awarded commendation certificates and cash prizes. SPs have been tasked with conducting weekly press briefings to raise public awareness, further strengthening the Islamabad Police’s commitment to serving the community with dedication and integrity.
