CSR – Civil Hospital Karachi Receives Rs 2.8M Lifesaving Equipment From Security Papers Limited

Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital, a primary healthcare provider for thousands of the city’s underprivileged residents, has received a critical infusion of life-saving medical apparatus valued at over PKR 2.8 million, a significant contribution from Security Papers Limited (SPL) aimed at bolstering its diagnostic and treatment capabilities.

As per information received today, the state-of-the-art machines are set to enhance services across the institution’s cardiology, dermatology, medical, and surgical departments. This support is expected to improve patient outcomes, particularly for those with life-threatening cardiac and clotting conditions, by enabling more timely and precise diagnoses.

Dr. S. M. Khalid Bukhari, the Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital, expressed profound gratitude for the contribution. ‘We’re deeply thankful to SPL for stepping forward with this timely and generous support,’ he stated. ‘These machines will directly impact lives by boosting our capacity to deliver accurate, swift, and effective care.’

The formal handover of the medical instruments was marked by a visit from the SPL leadership team, headed by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Imran Qureshi. He was accompanied by Yasir Ali Quraishi, Company Secretary and Chief Legal Officer, and Rabia Zulfiqar, Senior Manager Communications. The team also toured the hospital’s new Dilution Centre, a vital facility designed to improve medicine preparation standards.

Qureshi emphasized the importance of equitable healthcare access during the event. ‘Every citizen deserves quality medical care, regardless of their financial circumstances,’ the SPL CEO said. ‘Our support ensures that Civil Hospital Karachi can continue to deliver critical care to those who need it most at no cost.’

This initiative is part of SPL’s wider mission to empower communities and create a sustainable social impact through meaningful contributions to vital public services.
