In a direct response to directives from the Inspector General of Police, a top operational officer conducted on-ground inspections of security arrangements at churches across the federal capital to ensure their safety.
According to a report by Islamabad police today, SSP Operations Capt. (retd) Ali Raza Qazi personally visited various churches throughout the district, remaining active in the field to oversee the implementation of enhanced protective measures.
During his visits, the SSP met with deployed officers and personnel to evaluate their performance, issuing further instructions to strengthen the existing security framework.
His inspection focused on the deployment at entry and exit points, parking areas, and the surrounding vicinities of the places of worship, in addition to a review of the overall security plan.
Meeting with church administrations, SSP Qazi stated that the Islamabad Police is actively working to safeguard the life and property of all citizens, irrespective of their religion.
He urged the public to provide their full cooperation to law enforcement by immediately reporting any suspicious person or activity to the relevant police station or the Pucar-15 helpline.
The official noted that mutual cooperation between the police and the public serves as the foundation for maintaining peace and security in the city.
He reaffirmed that the protection of citizens” lives and property, along with the enforcement of the rule of law, remains the highest priority for the Islamabad Police.
