The global Pakistani diaspora has formally committed to a monumental goal: transforming Pakistan into a trillion-dollar, knowledge-based economy through the historic adoption of the Oxford Declaration on URAAN Pakistan.
According to a statement today, during a gathering in the city, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the implementation plan for the URAAN Pakistan initiative, detailing the strategic approach to the ambitious project.
The commitment was solidified at the URAAN Pakistan Conference hosted at the University of Oxford. The event convened a select group of over 100 delegates from 27 leading international universities and 33 premier global organisations.
The cornerstone of the conference was the unanimous adoption of the Oxford Declaration, which frames the country’s future as one of significant potential. The declaration states: ‘we, the participants of the URAAN Pakistan Conference- believe that Pakistan’s story is not one of limitations, but of promise waiting to be realized.’
