A stern directive has been issued to police officers, establishing a zero-tolerance policy for any mistreatment of elderly citizens, women, or children who visit police stations, following a high-level inspection at the Bani Gala precinct.
According to Islamabad police’s report today, the instruction came directly from Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, during a visit to the local police station.
During his inspection, the SSP conducted a comprehensive review of the station”s functions. He examined official records, the performance of the front desks, and the conditions of the lockup, while also cross-referencing the data of detainees in custody.
SSP Raza also took the opportunity to meet with local citizens present at the station, listening to their concerns. He subsequently ordered the relevant officers to ensure the prompt resolution of the public’s issues.
The senior police official emphasized that all complainants must be treated with courtesy and respect by the station”s personnel.
In addition to focusing on public interaction, the SSP instructed senior officers to prioritize the welfare of police personnel and to address any challenges faced by the staff without delay.
