Protest over lack of medical facilities in Nasirabad enters sixth day

The continuous protest by citizens in Nasirabad continued for the sixth day on Tuesday, with protesters demanding the immediate completion of the long-stalled hospital project and an end to the severe shortage of medical staff and medicines in local health centers.

The demonstration, organized by the Citizens’ Alliance, was recently bolstered by a rally. The procession was attended by leaders of various city organizations, laborers, residents, and even students and teachers from the main school, who marched to the main protest camp chanting slogans.

Addressing the protest site, prominent social figures including PTA leaders Ahmed Ali Wahoocho, Rashid Noonari, Jabbar Azad Mangi, and Comrade Sengar Noonari expressed unanimous grievances. They emphasized that every segment of society supports the simple appeal to the authorities to complete the construction of the taluka hospital, a project that has been incomplete for several years.

In addition to the incomplete hospital, the protesters are also demanding immediate action to address the acute shortage of doctors and essential medicines at the local rural health center.

The movement’s leaders have warned that until their basic healthcare demands are met satisfactorily, their civic protest will intensify and continue.
