Responding to public complaints concerning land encroachments and other civic problems, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Qazi Ali Raza, today directed subordinate officers to initiate prompt legal proceedings against the marked applications and submit compliance reports within a stipulated timeframe.
The directives were issued during an open court session held at the SSP”s office as part of the force”s open-door policy. The initiative, aimed at the immediate redressal of public issues, follows special instructions from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the capital, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
During the session, SSP Raza reiterated the police department”s zero-tolerance policy regarding violence against women and children, stating that providing maximum relief to the public remains a primary objective. He affirmed that the supremacy of the law would be upheld at all costs.
The SSP further emphasized that every citizen possesses equal rights and that all submitted petitions would be adjudicated strictly on merit. The protection of citizens’ lives, property, and dignity is of utmost importance, he added.
