Pakistani Innovators Honored as Experts Highlight Global Readiness and Fintech Synergy as Keys to Export Growth

Industry leaders today identified a fundamental shift in Pakistan’s export landscape, emphasizing that global market readiness from inception and stronger synergy between financial technology firms and traditional banks are now critical for the sustainable growth of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

These insights were a central theme at the 5th XBorder Excellence Awards, a ceremony hosted by global financial technology company Payoneer on November 28. The event, supported by award sponsors JazzCash and Faysal Bank, convened more than 100 attendees to celebrate the accomplishments of top-performing exporters, digital entrepreneurs, and creators contributing to Pakistan”s global economic expansion.

The gathering showcased the diversity of the nation”s export ecosystem, with participants from software development, gaming, e-commerce, direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, business-to-business (B2B) service-export companies, and the freelance community.

The ceremony honored outstanding achievers across several key digital export categories. Guava Slice Games was recognized for its excellence in gaming exports, while KSM Media Hut received accolades for its digital marketing services. LAAM was celebrated for leadership in D2C innovation, and Wanological Solutions was distinguished for its achievements in software and technology services.

Further commendations were given to EyeSmarty as the eCommerce Seller of the Year and Hopetex as the Prime CSP Partner. The prestigious Freelancer of the Year awards were presented to Zaid Tariq and Shazia Shah for their individual contributions.

The event featured influential speakers who shared dynamic perspectives on emerging trends. A panel discussion titled ‘Reinventing Checkout for Pakistan’ included insights from Asfandyar Farrukh (Chainstore Association of Pakistan), M. Salik Gadit (J.), and Arsal Ali (Laam), who discussed the evolving commerce environment and opportunities for local businesses.
