Strict security measures have been implemented on the fourth day of the ongoing anti-polio campaign in District South Karachi, while senior police officials are actively monitoring the safety arrangements for health staff.
These stringent security arrangements have been made on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) District South, Mahzoor Ali, to secure the campaign.
SSP Ali personally visited various polio camps on Thursday to conduct a detailed review of the security situation. During his visit, he interacted with the police personnel stationed at these locations.
The senior police officer directed the on-site officers to provide foolproof protection to the polio teams, emphasizing that such measures are indispensable for the successful and uninterrupted completion of this health drive.
As a gesture of support for the initiative, SSP Ali also participated in the campaign by administering polio drops to children. He made a public appeal to all parents to ensure their children are vaccinated to permanently rid the country of this deadly disease.
To further strengthen the security cordon, mobile and motorcycle patrols have been increased throughout the district during the campaign.
