Four individuals identified as wanted members of a car lifting syndicate have been apprehended by the Islamabad Police’s Anti-Vehicle Lifting Unit (AVLU), leading to the recovery of six purloined vehicles.
According to a police report today, this operation forms part of a heightened campaign against criminal elements across the city, initiated under the specific directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at eradicating illicit activity.
Utilising both technical and human resources, the AVLU team successfully located and detained the four accused. The apprehended individuals have been identified as Zeeshan, Rizwan, Ijaz, and Abdul Malik. Legal proceedings have been initiated against them, and further investigation into their activities is currently underway.
The Islamabad Capital Police encourages citizens to report any dubious conduct to their local police station or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” This collaborative effort between law enforcement and the public is vital for curbing crime within society.
