A 23-year-old youth was severely attacked with a knife over a financial dispute in the Korangi area on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Ahmed Shah Zain, son of Abdul Rasheed.
The incident occurred in Korangi number two and a half, near Rehmania Mosque, in Sector 33-D.
Rescue services moved the injured person to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) to provide immediate medical attention for his wounds.
Authorities have confirmed that a formal investigation into the attack has been launched to ascertain the full details of the altercation.
