The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has taken four individuals into custody in a major crackdown against the illicit trade of counterfeit goods to protect intellectual property rights.
The operation was carried out by the FIA’s Corporate Crime Circle Lahore on Thursday, resulting in the arrests of Shakeel Abbas, Muhammad Adnan Siddique, Ghulam Abbas, and Wasim Maskeen.
Agency officials confirmed that the accused were detained for alleged violation of the Copyright Act.
The four accused are alleged to be involved in the comprehensive production, hoarding, and sale of counterfeit goods, replicating products of legally registered organizations.
