40 new centers established to treat 15,000 Pakistani children suffering from severe acute malnutrition

The World Health Organization Pakistan, in collaboration with the Benazir Income Support Programme, has established 40 new nutrition stabilization centers to save the lives of an additional 15,000 children suffering from severe acute malnutrition and its associated medical complications.

It was officially announced today on the social media website X that under this project, 40 new nutrition stabilization centers have been established in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Pakistan and the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).

This joint project has made the establishment of these special facilities possible, which are designed to save the lives of children affected by this life-threatening condition.

These centers will provide necessary medical support for the treatment of children suffering from severe acute malnutrition and to deal with the complex medical issues arising from nutritional deficiencies.
