Darakhshan police have launched an investigation after discovering a decomposed body, believed to be several days old, near Mubarak Masjid in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase 05 on Sunday.
Authorities have identified the deceased as 53-year-old Adnan, son of Mirza Baig.
The body was taken into custody by law enforcement agencies and moved to Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination. A spokesperson for the Darakhshan police station confirmed that the cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem is completed.
A comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway by the South District Police.
