Customs Enforcement Quetta on Sunday claimed to have confiscated non-customs paid (NCP) vehicles and a significant cache of contraband merchandise, with an estimated value of Rs235 million, following a series of intelligence-led operations.
The extensive seizure included a variety of high-value passenger cars, such as a Toyota Mark X and a Honda Accord, alongside commercial vehicles including dumper trucks, bowzers, and trailers.
In addition to the vehicles, officials impounded a diverse assortment of illegal goods, comprising betel nuts, tyres, Chinese salt, solar batteries, and a quantity of silver. The tentative Cost, Insurance, and Freight (CIF) value of all confiscated items has been assessed at the substantial Rs235 million.
According to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the operations were executed based on credible intelligence, forming part of a continued effort to curb smuggling and protect the national economy through effective border control.
The success of the missions was attributed to the crucial role and timely coordination of various law enforcement agencies operating in Balochistan.
The FBR affirmed its resolve to continue strict enforcement actions against illicit trade, highlighting its commitment to collaborating with relevant agencies to safeguard legal businesses and the country’s economic interests.
