Stranded Passengers Rescued as Army Clears Snow-Clogged Routes

Passengers and vehicles stranded by severe snowfall in the Kurram district have been safely evacuated after the Pakistan Army conducted a prompt rescue operation to clear a completely blocked major roadway.

According to an official report today, the Manato Sadda road had become impassable due to the adverse weather, leaving numerous vehicles immobilised. Military personnel utilised heavy machinery to restore an eight-kilometre section of the vital route, allowing for the safe transfer of those affected to secure locations.

In the neighbouring Orakzai district, which also experienced significant winter precipitation, army teams worked on an emergency basis to reopen obstructed thoroughfares.

The relief efforts were initiated in both the Kurram and Orakzai districts following a period of intense rainfall and heavy snow that severely impacted the region.
