Long-Serving Wireless Staff Honoured for Decades of Dedicated Service in Islamabad

Islamabad, 2-Feb-2026 (PPI): A formal ceremony was held at Safe City Islamabad to recognise the contributions of three retiring wireless staff officials, marking the end of their extensive careers with the capital's police force.

The event celebrated the service of Sub-Inspector Mehboob Ali, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Qaisar Abbas, and Constable Mushtaq Ahmed.

Director General (DG) Safe City and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Traffic, Muhammad Haroon Joya, presided over the occasion as the chief guest, accompanied by other senior police officials.

In his address, DG Joya lauded the commitment of the departing personnel, acknowledging retirement as an inevitable phase of one’s professional life. He noted that the officers had dedicated a significant portion of their lives to the police department.

He counselled that public servants should always strive to perform their duties in a way that preserves their personal integrity and ensures their contributions are remembered favourably.

The Director General also emphasised the importance of dedicating one's career to public service as a means of fulfilling a higher purpose.

In response, the retiring personnel conveyed their appreciation to the police department for the formal recognition and the esteem shown to them during the event.

The event concluded with the presentation of honorary police shields and gifts to the celebrated officers, symbolising the department's gratitude and extending best wishes for their future endeavours.
