4 suspected terrorists killed, 2 police officials injured in shootout with police

Four suspected terrorists were killed and two officials of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) were injured following an exchange of fire in Shah Latif Town.

The encounter took place near Gupshup Hotel in Shah Latif Town on Tuesday when CTD personnel confronted the alleged militants. A heavy exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the arrest of all four suspects in an injured state.

The two security personnel injured during the operation have been identified as Head Constable Yusuf and Police Constable Junaid.

Authorities reported seizing a cache of weapons from the scene. The recovered arms include a sub-machine gun (SMG) with ammunition, a hand grenade, and unspecified explosive material.

Officials confirmed that all four arrested assailants later succumbed to their injuries while receiving medical treatment. A case has been registered at the Shah Latif police station, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
