Significant decline in the domestic gold market, gold price down by 13,900, silver also cheaper

A significant decline was observed in the domestic gold market on Tuesday, with a sharp drop recorded in the prices of both gold and silver in local and international markets.

The price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased significantly by Rs 13,900, bringing the new price to Rs 549,962.

Following the same trend, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs 11,917 to Rs 471,503. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also closed at Rs 432,226, down by Rs 10,925.

The silver market also reflected this bearish trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola ended at Rs 8,904, down by Rs 1,146, while the price of 10 grams of 24-karat silver decreased by Rs 983, with the new price recorded at Rs 7,633.

This change in local prices is in line with the bearish trend in global markets, where the international price of gold fell by $139 to $5,272. A sharp decline was also seen in the global price of silver, which traded at $84.20, down by $11.46.
