A father of six was allegedly shot and killed today in a brutal act of revenge by his own brothers-in-law in the suburban area of Kacha Pakka.
The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Abbas. The alleged assailants, identified as Tariq and Waris, fled the scene after the incident.
The motive for the murder is said to be a grudge, as the accused suspected their brother-in-law of being an informant for the CTD. Previously, a brother of the accused had been killed by the department.
Authorities have taken the deceased’s body into custody and moved it to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Following the tragedy, the bereaved family has appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab and the Inspector General of Punjab Police to take notice of the incident and ensure justice is served.
