Law enforcement officials today took four individuals into custody and recovered a significant amount of stake money from the scene following a raid on an illegal gambling den in Depalpur.
The operation was conducted by a team from Saddar Depalpur police station, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Akhtar Khan.
The four suspects, identified as Abbas, Shafiq, Abdul Sattar, and Gulzar, were arrested while gambling with playing cards.
Authorities seized Rs 15,000 in stake money and a deck of playing cards from their possession at the scene.
A formal case has been registered against the accused under the Gambling Act. It was reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy would be adopted against anti-social elements in the area.
