Campaign against criminal elements in Mirpurkhas, 215 suspects arrested

Authorities in Mirpurkhas arrested a total of 215 suspects and eliminated seven criminal gangs during a 45-day extensive campaign against illegal activities.

It was officially reported today that stolen goods worth Rs 1,312,000 were also recovered in this operation.

The recovered stolen items included six motorcycles and three cars.

From the seven eliminated criminal gangs, the police seized 17 mobile phones, Rs 82,000 in cash, two pistols with ammunition, and one motorcycle.

A special campaign against drug dealers resulted in the arrest of 76 individuals. In these operations, 13.475 kg of hashish, 186 bottles of liquor, and 33 grams of crystal methamphetamine were recovered.

In a separate large-scale operation targeting the production of illegal liquor, authorities seized 120,295 liters of local liquor and demolished numerous distilleries.

The crackdown also focused on sellers of gutka and other smokeless tobacco products, resulting in 58 arrests. Authorities seized a large quantity of prohibited items, including 116 kg of Mainpuri, 194 kg of Gutka/Mawa, 17.778 kg of Safina Gutka, 675 kg of other harmful gutka, and 5,554 kg of related raw materials.

Furthermore, a campaign against illegal weapons led to the registration of 13 cases and the detention of 13 suspects. Law enforcement agencies recovered 11 pistols, one repeater rifle, and one shotgun, along with their respective ammunition.
