Health Department’s World TB Day Awareness Rally in Nasirabad

Health department officials in Qambar Shahdadkot have issued a stern warning to the public about the dangers of tuberculosis (TB), urging citizens not to ignore symptoms like persistent cough, fever, or weight loss and to seek immediate medical consultation.

The initiative came during an awareness rally organized by the District Health Department Qambar Shahdadkot today on the occasion of World TB Day. The procession was led by District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Gulzar Ahmed Tunio and was attended by leaders of various community organizations.

Addressing the participants, DHO Dr. Gulzar Ahmed Tunio, other key figures including ADHO Dr. Habib Shah, MS DHQ Hospital Dr. Sartaj Ahmed Jaj, and District TB Officer Dr. Saddam Hussain Bhutto, emphasized that tuberculosis is a completely curable disease.

The speakers collectively stressed that however, a successful outcome depends on timely diagnosis and the patient’s commitment to completing the full course of treatment. They advised the public to immediately visit their nearest health center if they experience any potential symptoms.

Representatives of social welfare and support organizations, including Qalandar Bakhsh Korai of SARSO, Taluka Officer of the Social Welfare Department Aamir Ali Lakho, and President of RSDO Akhlaq Ahmed Chandio, also echoed the same sentiment, highlighting that the eradication of this disease requires a collective societal effort, in which every individual has a crucial role to play.
