Embassy of Pakistan and CICCC jointly hold 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries

The Embassy of Pakistan and the China International Cultural Communication Center (CICCC) jointly hosted a gala event to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, strengthening their long-standing cultural partnership through cultural exchanges.

The event drew a distinguished audience, including members of the diplomatic corps, media representatives, and leaders from the creative and business sectors, all gathered to honour the enduring bilateral relationship.

In his address, Pakistan”s Ambassador, Khalil Hashmi, stated that generations of leaders from both countries have cultivated a model relationship based on mutual trust and support. He stressed the pivotal role of people-to-people connections and cultural exchange in sustaining this bond through all circumstances.

Echoing these sentiments, Long Yuxiang, Executive Chairman of the CICCC, spoke on the strength of the Pakistan-China friendship and the importance of cultural dialogue for mutual understanding. Zhai Meiqing, President of Xiangjiang Group, also delivered remarks, highlighting the contribution of cultural and creative industries in fostering cross-cultural connectivity.

The gala featured a series of cultural performances designed to showcase artistic synergy. A key feature of the evening was a performance by acclaimed Pakistani artist Natasha Baig, who sang in both Urdu and Chinese, adding a distinctive element to the proceedings.

This celebration was a significant cultural component in a series of activities planned to mark the diplomatic anniversary. Officials stated the event also represented a shared commitment to enhance cooperation beyond traditional sectors, extending into cultural industries, media, and youth engagement initiatives.
