Sindh Social Security Commissioner Hady Bux Kalhoro paid a surprise visit to the Social Security Mirpurkhas Dispensary and Directorate and issued strict directives for improved service delivery and to extend the social security scheme to more industrial workers and their families.
Upon arrival at Mirpurkhas Dispensary, Dispensary Incharge Dr. Tahir welcomed the Commissioner and presented a comprehensive overview of its operations. The Commissioner explicitly stated that any negligence in patient care or the provision of essential medicines to workers would not be tolerated. He emphasized the importance of facilitating access to high-quality medical facilities for workers and their dependents. Furthermore, medical and support staff were directed to maintain strict punctuality and treat beneficiaries with respect.
Subsequently, Commissioner Kalhoro proceeded to the Mirpurkhas Directorate. Director Sohail Ahmed Khan gave the Commissioner a tour of the department, presenting a detailed explanation of the process for registration of industrial units, workers, and their beneficiaries, as well as the procedure for fund collection. The Commissioner reviewed attendance records and mandated biometric attendance for all employees and officers, reiterating the importance of punctuality.
A key directive from Commissioner SSSAI to the Director of Mirpurkhas was to accelerate efforts to enroll more industrial establishments and their workers into the social security program. This strategy aims to ensure that a maximum number of laborers and their households gain access to the extensive health and financial benefits provided under the scheme.
