In various areas of Karachi today, 3 individuals, including 2 alleged robbers, were killed, while police arrested 7 criminals in multiple encounters with alleged culprits in different districts, but their 2 accomplices escaped. These widespread operations also resulted in the recovery of several firearms and motorcycles.
In Paposh Nagar, Central District, an intense exchange of fire occurred between police personnel and alleged robbers. Following the encounter, one suspect, Bilal son of Allah Rakha, was taken into custody in an injured state. A pistol with live rounds was recovered from the scene, and further investigations are underway.
Additional police action in Central District involved two separate incidents. Near Liaquatabad River, in an encounter with alleged robbers, Imran son of Jahangir and Saddam Hussain son of Shah Jahan were arrested, both injured. Their accomplice evaded capture. Two pistols, ammunition, and a motorcycle were seized from this location.
Similarly, in FC Area, near the railway line, another exchange of fire took place between law enforcement and alleged criminals. Two injured suspects, Ejaz son of Syed Hasan and Adnan son of Muhammad Anwar, were arrested. Police recovered two pistols, fully loaded, and a motorcycle after this operation.
In District East, an encounter on Sharea Shaheed-e-Millat resulted in the death of an alleged robber, Usman son of Abdul Kalam. His accomplice fled the scene. Officers recovered a pistol with ammunition and a motorcycle from the site of the confrontation.
Separately, in District East, near Dalmia Cemetery in Block 10-A, street criminals engaged in an encounter with the police. During the encounter, Jamal son of Alam Shah was injured and arrested. His accomplice, identified as Usman, escaped. A .30 bore pistol was recovered, and the injured suspect was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical aid.
In addition to police encounters, other violent incidents also occurred across the city during the day. In Orangi Town Football Chowrangi, Sector 11½, District West, Omar son of Murtaza, aged 26, sustained stab wounds near Ideal Lawn. He was transferred to a medical facility, and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
District East also reported two fatal incidents not directly involving police encounters. In Bilawal Shah Noorani Goth, near Allah Wali Mosque, Majeed son of Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, aged 29, was stabbed to death due to personal enmity. His body was transferred to the hospital, and further investigations are underway.
In Shah Faisal Colony No. 4, near Farooqia Mosque, Muhammad Shah son of Abid Ali was stabbed to death after a personal dispute. In connection with this incident, the suspect Arshad Butt son of Muhammad Aslam has been arrested, and thorough investigations are ongoing.
