The newly established Pakistan-Rwanda Business Council held its inaugural meeting at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) , aiming to significantly enhance bilateral trade and explore investment opportunities in key sectors including pharmaceuticals, construction, and agriculture.
According to information today, presiding over the session, Council Chairman Atif Iqbal announced plans to broaden the council’s scope and increase its membership. He underscored the numerous commercial prospects available in Rwanda for Pakistani investors and affirmed that dedicated efforts would persist to strengthen economic links and augment bilateral trade between the two nations.
The meeting, also attended by FPCCI Vice President Asif Sakhi, involved detailed discussions on advancing the commercial relationship. Attendees identified considerable potential for cooperation in transportation, nursing, sports, and other industries alongside the primary sectors.
FPCCI Vice President Asif Sakhi described the council’s formation as a commendable initiative poised to foster commercial relations. He noted that extensive opportunities for collaboration exist across diverse industries, which, if capitalised on effectively, could substantially increase mutual trade volumes.
Mr Sakhi further elaborated that the new body would not only fortify connections within the business community but also create fresh pathways for investment. He reiterated the FPCCI’s position as the country’s foremost representative trade organisation, emphasising its commitment to providing comprehensive facilitation and creating international commercial opportunities for its members.
The participants collectively expressed a strong commitment to leveraging the council as a platform to redefine trade relations. There was a shared optimism that the initiative would introduce a new dynamic to the economic partnership between Pakistan and Rwanda, paving the way for growth through future joint ventures.
