Security measures tightened in Islamabad, IG visits, talks to officers posted at operational locations

Authorities in the federal capital have further tightened security protocols today following the directions of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, with a senior officer personally inspecting various duty points to ensure robust security measures for residents.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza conducted an extensive tour of several police pickets and operational locations and directly interacted with officers posted across the area.

During these inspections, the SSP meticulously reviewed existing checking procedures, subsequently issuing instructions for their enhancement to ensure greater effectiveness and purpose. He stressed the imperative for personnel to maintain constant vigilance and conduct thorough examinations of all suspicious individuals and vehicles.

Furthermore, officers were reminded to promptly relay any unusual or suspicious activities to their superior officials without delay.

Emphasising the importance of public trust, the SSP urged officers to engage with citizens courteously and respectfully, fostering stronger community relations.

The supreme objective guiding these intensified efforts remains the safeguarding of citizens” lives and assets, a commitment vigorously pursued by local law enforcement.

The public is encouraged to fully collaborate with police and report any dubious individuals or incidents immediately to their nearest police station or utilise the dedicated police helpline, Pucar-15.
