Health Department organized awareness rally in Thatta on the occasion of World Immunization Week

An awareness rally was held today in Thatta to protect children from deadly diseases and combat misinformation, emphasizing the importance of timely immunizations.

The event was held as part of World Immunization Week, organized with the joint collaboration of Thatta District Administration and the Health Department. Initiated under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Thatta, Sarmad Ali Bhagat, the rally commenced from Civil Hospital Makli.

The procession was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner I Imran Haq and District Health Officer Dr. Syed Safdar Ali Shah. A large number of health sector officials, medical experts, paramedical staff, social workers, and local residents actively participated.

Addressing the participants, Additional Deputy Commissioner I Imran Haq, Dr. Syed Safdar Ali Shah, and other key speakers emphasized that vaccines represent an effective strategy to protect children from deadly and severe diseases.

They strongly appealed to parents to ensure their children are vaccinated on time for a healthy future, and to fully cooperate with the ongoing efforts of the Health Department.

Speakers further explained that immunizations not only guarantee the health of the young but also play a significant role in protecting society from various widespread epidemics.

Citizens were strictly advised to disregard misinformation and baseless claims about vaccines, and instead seek advice from verified medical experts.

Participants carried numerous banners and placards advocating the importance and benefits of immunizations. The primary objective of the demonstration was to popularize the benefits of immunizations among the public and promote timely vaccination of children.
