Officials attending a high-level meeting in Karachi have issued directives for enhanced security and institutional cooperation for the Polio Booster Campaign 2026, which aims to vaccinate children up to ten years of age from May 11 to 24.
This directive was issued during a joint meeting held today at the Karachi Police Office, presided over by Additional IG Karachi, Azad Khan. The meeting thoroughly reviewed necessary logistic arrangements, safety protocols, and inter-departmental cooperation for the success of the campaign.
Senior officers from various departments were present at the meeting, including DIG Admin, Zonal DIGs, District SSPs, the Polio Eradication Team, and UNICEF representatives.
During the discussion, the Police Chief emphasized the importance of ensuring foolproof security arrangements and impeccable cooperation with all relevant institutions during this fourteen-day vaccination campaign.
