Thatta Police arrested 6 main accused involved in murder case, axe and stick recovered

Authorities in Thatta today confirmed the arrest of six individuals involved in a murder case, who have also reportedly confessed to the crime.

The police operation also resulted in the recovery of an axe and a stick, believed to be the weapons used in the fatal incident. A formal case has been registered in connection with the matter.

According to details, on April 29, 2026, at approximately 4:30 PM, a dispute over filling water escalated. Six individuals allegedly attacked Qadir Bakhsh Kheo using axes and sticks, resulting in his death. During the same altercation, Jumman Kheo was injured, and the attackers fled the scene.

Upon receiving information about the incident, law enforcement officials promptly arrived at the scene. The deceased’s body was sent to the Rural Health Center for post-mortem, while the injured person was shifted to Civil Hospital Thatta for immediate medical aid.

Case No. 49/2026 was formally registered at Garho Police Station. The case was filed under sections 302, 324, 147, 148, 149, 337 A(I)F(I), and 504 of the Pakistan Penal Code, based on the complaint of the deceased’s sister, Noor Bano Kheo.

Following strict directives from SSP Thatta Sajid Amir Sadozai, a special team led by Sub-Inspector Asad Ilahi Awan, Station House Officer (SHO) Garho Police Station, conducted a successful operation near Ludano Stop Garho. This resulted in the apprehension of six key individuals involved in the murder: Abdul Karim son of Bachayo Kheo, Noor Muhammad son of Abbas Kheo, Karim Bakhsh son of Abdul Karim Kheo, Malook son of Abdul Karim Kheo, Zakaria son of Abdul Karim Kheo, and Amir Ali son of Abbas Kheo. The recovered murder weapons, an axe and a stick, were seized from the custody of the arrestees. The accused later confessed to the crime.
