Man commits suicide in Karachi Malir Khokhrapar, armed robber arrested from DHA, accomplice escapes

In Karachi Malir Khokhrapar on Thursday morning, a 42-year-old man, Hammad Saleh Alvi, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself near Boys Degree College. The deceased’s body has been shifted to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for necessary legal procedures, and Khokhrapar Police Station has initiated an investigation into the matter.

Also, an alleged robber was arrested during a police operation in DHA Phase 07, Karachi, followed by an exchange of fire. The suspect, Noor Nabi Shah, sustained injuries and was subsequently arrested, while his accomplice managed to evade capture.

The incident occurred near C.R. Peta, DHA Phase 07, where law enforcement officials confronted the suspects. Officers recovered three pistols and ammunition from the scene. Mr. Shah has been transferred to a medical facility for treatment, and investigations are ongoing by Defence Police Station, District South.

Additionally, emergency services are dealing with a fire that erupted on the fourth floor of Karim Plaza. Police and fire brigade units have been dispatched to the scene in the New Town area to extinguish the fire, while further investigations are being conducted by New Town Police Station.
