In Karachi on Thursday, multiple police encounters and separate firing incidents occurred, resulting in several arrests in different districts.
During a significant operation in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Sunday Bazaar of East District, three alleged robbers were arrested after an exchange of fire with the police. During the confrontation, two arrested individuals were injured and transferred to the hospital for medical aid. Officers seized three pistols, related ammunition, four mobile phones, and a Suzuki Alto vehicle from the accused.
Additionally, in City District, near Mirza Adam Khan Road, a suspected person, Habib Ali, was arrested in an encounter, who was injured during firing with the police. His accomplice managed to escape arrest. Law enforcement officials recovered a pistol with bullets and various illegal drugs from the scene.
In further police action, an alleged robber, Usama alias Waseem, was injured and arrested in Bilal Chowk Sector A-7, Central District. Like previous incidents, his accomplice fled. Authorities seized a pistol with ammunition and a motorcycle from the arrested individual.
Earlier, an 18-year-old individual, Wazir Ali, was admitted to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center after being shot in Noor Muhammad Goth Sector 30/A, Malir District. The circumstances of his injury are unknown, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
