LCCI Urges Swift Action Following Factory Manager’s Murder in Hub Industrial Area

KARACHI: The Lasbela Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has issued a strong condemnation following the recent murder of a factory manager at the Sera-e-Noor Factory in Hub Industrial Area. The manager was killed by unidentified assailants, prompting LCCI to call on provincial authorities and law enforcement agencies to swiftly apprehend those responsible.

According to the Salt Manufacturers Association of Pakistan, the LCCI president and executive committee released a statement expressing profound grief and concern over the incident, which has intensified fears among industrialists, investors, and workers in the region. The Chamber underscored the urgency of addressing the security concerns within the industrial zone, noting that the attack's motive remains unclear.

The LCCI extended condolences to the victim's family and urged prompt action from the Chief Secretary Balochistan, Inspector General of Police Balochistan, and other relevant authorities. Ismail Suttar, a former LCCI president, renewed his call for a specialized security force for the Hub Industrial Trading Estate, emphasizing the need for advanced surveillance and rapid-response capabilities to safeguard the area.

In its statement, the Chamber highlighted the critical link between economic stability and a secure business environment, warning that ongoing insecurity could undermine investment and development in Hub Industrial Area. The LCCI affirmed its readiness to collaborate with authorities to ensure peace and security in the region.
