An emergency meeting was held today at the SSP Office Thatta under the leadership of DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razzaq Khan Dharejo, focusing on strict action against drug traffickers in the district. This decisive action was taken following the instructions of the IG Sindh, highlighting the growing concerns regarding narcotics, especially ice and crystal.
All key law enforcement officers, including SSP Thatta Sajid Amir Saduzai, SDPOs, SHOs, and branch heads were present, indicating the seriousness of the situation. The DIG emphasized the need to intensify efforts to arrest individuals involved in drug trade and urged officers to promptly carry out legal actions based on intelligence reports.
Officers were instructed that SDPOs should lead operations targeting institutions distributing gutka and other illegal drugs. The instruction was clear: any officer found involved in these criminal activities will face severe departmental consequences.
Officers demonstrating outstanding performance were appreciated with commendation certificates, reinforcing a culture of accountability and merit.
Following the meeting, the DIG reviewed the Command and Control Room, Safe Cities Project to ensure optimal performance of monitoring and response systems.
