Sindh Governor Muhammad Nehal Hashmi said that relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom are based on mutual respect, historical ties, and shared cooperation, while the Pakistani community residing in the UK serves as a strong bridge between the two countries.
He expressed these views during a farewell meeting with British Deputy High Commissioner Lance Domm at Governor House, according to a statement today.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on enhancing Pakistan-UK cooperation in trade, education, culture, and diplomacy. Hashmi welcomed British investment in Sindh and cooperation in various development sectors, stating that Pakistan, particularly Karachi as the country’s economic hub, is an important center of economic and commercial activities in the region.
He appreciated the services of Lance Domm during his tenure as Deputy High Commissioner and extended best wishes for his future endeavors.
On the occasion, Lance Domm thanked Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi for the cooperation and hospitality extended during his tenure and said that relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom are growing stronger.
