According to the forecast made by the meteorological department today, the nation is prepared for a wave of hot and dry weather. Temperatures will rise in most areas, although some areas may experience relief in the form of strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain. These weather phenomena are expected to affect parts of Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Southern Central Punjab, Northeastern Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
This morning, temperatures in major cities were recorded at 21°C in Islamabad and Quetta, 25°C in Lahore, 29°C in Karachi, 23°C in Peshawar, 13°C in Gilgit, 15°C in Murree, and 16°C in Muzaffarabad.
In the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, the forecast predicts partly cloudy skies with strong winds and light rain in Srinagar and Anantnag, while Leh, Pulwama, Shopian, and Baramulla will also have cloudy weather. However, the weather in Jammu will remain predominantly hot and dry.
The temperatures recorded for this morning were 13°C in Srinagar, Pulwama, and Shopian, 23°C in Jammu, 1°C in Leh, and 14°C in Anantnag and Baramulla.
While many people are preparing for intense heat, residents of areas expecting storms are advised to remain vigilant for sudden weather changes.
