Pakistan Rangers and CTD police arrested the highly wanted terrorist associated with the Sindhudesh Republican Army

Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police have successfully arrested the notorious terrorist Abdul Jabbar Sarki, associated with the Sindhudesh Republican Army, in a significant development today. The arrest took place at the Rangers checkpoint on Hub River Road, Rais Goth, when Sarki was traveling from Quetta to Karachi.

This joint operation, carried out with the help of accurate intelligence, resulted in the recovery of weapons, detonators, ball bearings, and explosives from Sarki. This arrest highlights the threat posed by extremist groups in the region.

Sarki’s association with the Sindhudesh Republican Army dates back to 2020 when he formed an alliance with commander Sajjad Shah. Shah and his group have been linked to numerous sabotage activities in Karachi and rural Sindh.

One of Sarki’s notable crimes includes a hand grenade attack on a Rangers checkpoint near Manzil Pump on the National Highway in June 2020, which resulted in two civilians being injured and partial damage to the checkpoint.

Further investigations reveal that Sarki surveyed an Independence Day stall in Gulshan-e-Hadeed for a potential attack during the Independence Day celebrations on August 14.

Listed as a highly wanted figure in the CTD Red Book, Sarki maintained contact with commander Sajjad Shah, who is currently abroad, and planned attacks on key locations in Karachi.

Efforts to arrest Sarki’s accomplices are ongoing, and authorities have urged the public to report any suspicious activity to the nearest Rangers checkpoint or helpline 1101 or WhatsApp number 03479001111. According to the Sindh Rangers spokesperson, informants’ confidentiality is guaranteed.

Sarki and the seized items have been handed over to the CTD police for further legal proceedings.
