Need-cum-merit scholarship checks of 9.1 million rupees distributed among 257 deserving students of Latif University Khairpur

During a ceremony at Shah Abdul Latif University today, checks for need-cum-merit based scholarships worth 9.1 million rupees were distributed among 257 deserving students. This financial assistance is intended to encourage educational excellence and provide necessary support to students from various departments.

These scholarships were distributed by Professor Dr. Liaqat Ali Chandio, who is the esteemed Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the convener of the university’s scholarship committee. The event was graced by Khairpur District Zakat and Ushr Officer Saleem Tanori, as well as several esteemed university figures, including Professor Dr. Khalida Parveen Mehr and Masood Memon.

Highlighting the collaboration between the university and the Zakat and Ushr Department, the ceremony emphasized the shared commitment to advancing higher education through welfare efforts. Professor Dr. Liaqat Ali Chandio praised the efforts of the Vice Chancellor, attributing the university’s progress, especially in student financial support, to his leadership.

Out of 617 applicants, selections were made with strict adherence to merit, ensuring transparency and fairness. The students selected for scholarships demonstrated financial need and outstanding academic performance. The comprehensive review process was overseen by a distinguished scholarship committee, including Dr. Khalida Parveen Mehr, Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, Dr. Muzaffar Sirohi, Secretary Karam Shah Bukhari, Masood Memon, and Mustafa Chandio.

The ceremony concluded with expressions of gratitude towards the donors and university administration, whose dedication to promoting quality education remains unwavering.
