In a commendable display of quick response and vigilance, the National Highways and Motorway Police today successfully intercepted a stolen vehicle near Chenab Toll Plaza, resulting in the arrest of two suspects.
The incident unfolded when motorway police officers received intelligence about a white Alto car, identified as stolen and moving with falsified registration plates, approaching the Chenab Toll Plaza. Promptly responding to the alert, the patrolling officers managed to stop the suspicious vehicle before it could evade capture.
The interception of the stolen car resulted in the apprehension of two individuals inside, who were subsequently detained for further questioning. Following standard procedures, the suspects, along with the recovered vehicle, were transferred to Sadar Police Station in Gujrat. The local authorities will now conduct a detailed investigation and pursue legal action against the offenders.
